When reversing helps and what to expect
Reversing is the fix for documents produced in the wrong direction rather than documents with the wrong content: sheet-fed scanners that output last-page-first, some fax and multifunction devices, exports that list newest-first when you want oldest-first, and photo batches imported in descending order. It is also handy for right-to-left booklet printing workflows, where the printer expects the sequence inverted before imposition.
Every page is copied into the new document in inverse order with no re-encoding, so the text layer, fonts, page sizes, rotation and image resolution are all preserved exactly and the output file is essentially the same size as the input. What reversing does not do is change page content: numbers printed on the original pages keep their old values, so a reversed file may show 10, 9, 8 - run Page numbers on the result if you need a fresh sequence. Internal links and bookmarks still point at their original page positions and can therefore end up on the wrong sheet. If only part of the document is inverted, extract that section, reverse it, then merge it back with the rest. The whole operation happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

Can I reverse only part of the document?
Not directly. Extract the affected pages into their own file, reverse that file, then merge it back together with the other sections.
Do printed page numbers update after reversing?
No. Numbers that are part of the original page content stay as they are. Add a new sequence with the Page numbers tool if you need one.
Does reversing affect quality or file size?
Neither. Pages are copied as they are, so quality is identical and the resulting file is about the same size as the original.
Why is my scan in reverse order in the first place?
