Use every tool as often as you like - no account, no watermarks.

Sometimes you only need three pages out of forty: the signature sheet, the price table and the annex everyone keeps asking for. Extract pages builds a brand-new PDF from exactly the pages and ranges you type, leaving the original file untouched on your device. It is the precise alternative to splitting a document into dozens of separate files.

How to extract pages from a PDF

  1. 1Add the PDF you want to take pages from.
  2. 2Type the pages to keep, using commas for single pages and hyphens for ranges - for example 1-3, 7, 11-.
  3. 3Run the tool and download the new document containing only those pages.

When to extract pages and what to expect

Extraction is the right tool when a document contains more than the recipient should see or needs to see: pulling one tenant's pages out of a shared lease bundle, sending just the executive summary of a long report, keeping the two chapters you actually study from a scanned book, or isolating a single invoice from a monthly export. Because you can list several ranges at once, an entire selection becomes one tidy file rather than a folder of downloads.

The extracted pages are copied as real PDF pages, so text stays selectable and searchable, embedded fonts and vector graphics are preserved, and each page keeps its original size and rotation. Nothing is re-encoded, which means there is no quality loss at all; the new file is roughly proportional to the pages you kept, although shared resources such as fonts are copied in full, so a two-page extract from a font-heavy document may not be as small as you expect. Links or bookmarks pointing to pages you left behind will no longer resolve, and pages are written in document order rather than the order you typed. Everything happens inside your browser, so confidential bundles are never uploaded and the original file is never modified.

Frequently asked about Extract pages

How do I write the page selection?

Separate single pages with commas and use a hyphen for ranges, like 1-3, 5, 8. An open range such as 11- means page 11 to the end of the document.

Are pages kept in the order I type them?

No. The new PDF follows the original document order. To reorder pages, extract the parts you need separately and merge them in the order you want.

What is the difference between Extract pages and Split PDF?

Extract keeps a chosen selection in one new document. Split breaks the whole file into separate documents - one per page or two halves.

Does the original file change?

Never. The tool reads your file and produces a new download; the document on your disk stays exactly as it was.

Will the extracted text still be searchable?

Yes. Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so any existing text layer, fonts and annotations come along and remain searchable.

What if I type a page number that does not exist?

Numbers beyond the document length are simply ignored, so you can safely use an open range like 20- even if you are unsure where the file ends.
