When to delete pages and what to expect
Deleting is the natural choice when the document is mostly right and only a few sheets are wrong: empty reverse sides from a duplex scan, an internal comments page that should not go to the client, a duplicated sheet fed twice through the scanner, or an outdated price list inside a proposal. If you find yourself listing more pages to delete than to keep, Extract pages is the faster way round.
Removal is a structural edit, not a re-render: the pages that remain are copied with their original text layer, fonts, images, size and rotation, so nothing loses quality and text stays searchable. The output is a little smaller than the original - usually less than you would guess, because shared fonts and images are retained for the remaining pages. Two things to keep in mind: page numbers printed into the original document will now skip the deleted sheets, so re-run Page numbers if continuity matters, and internal links or bookmarks that targeted removed pages will stop working. Deletion here means the pages are absent from the new file, not merely hidden, so anything confidential really is gone. All of it happens locally in your browser with no upload.

Is the deleted content really removed from the file?
Yes. The new PDF is rebuilt from the remaining pages only, so the deleted sheets are not hidden - they are absent from the downloaded document.

Will the printed page numbers renumber themselves?
Not automatically - numbers baked into the original pages stay as they are. Run the Page numbers tool on the trimmed file if you need a continuous sequence.
Can I undo a deletion?
Not inside the tool, but your original file is never modified. Just start again from it if you removed the wrong page.
Should I use this or Extract pages?
Delete when you are dropping a handful of sheets from a long document. Extract when you only want a small selection out of a large file.
Does the file get noticeably smaller?
Somewhat. You save the content of the deleted pages, but fonts and images shared with the remaining pages are still embedded, so the reduction is modest unless the removed pages held large scans.
